How do you toe the line between working to live and living to work? All throughout our Owasso apartments, residents go to work every day so they can pay their bills, go on vacation and have dinner every night with their family and friends. Then again, there are plenty of residents who work for the simple reason that they love what they do. The long nights don’t bother these people because they don’t see work as work. Whichever end of the spectrum you fall in, it’s important to establish and pay attention to your work-life balance.
In the blog post below, we’ll help you do just that. We’re sharing some tips on achieving your ideal work-life balance while living at 98 Apartments. If you’ve found yourself spending a lot of nights at the office or neglecting to use your PTO days, this blog is for you.
Without further delay, let’s dive right into the list of tips! Oh, and when you’re done reading through the post below, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends. Better yet, go ahead and share this post with your neighbors at your community of apartments in Owasso.
Set up after work events
One of the best ways to get yourself to leave the office on time is to set up appointments and events that take place at 5:30 or 6:00. If you’re the type of person who likes to workout, schedule early evening workout classes or gym-dates with friends. Whatever you decided to schedule, make sure it’s something you can’t just blow off. The more often you can go to these after-work appointments, the more you’ll get used to leaving the office at a reasonable time.
Play to your strengths
Are you a morning person or are you more productive after lunch? The answer might seem insignificant, but it can make all the difference in the world if you’re trying to achieve a better work-life balance. If you are a morning person, try tackling your hardest tasks right when you get to work. That way, you won’t feel overwhelmed in the afternoon. If you find that you have more energy in the afternoon, do the opposite! By playing to your strengths, you’ll allow yourself to be more productive and efficient at work.
Get rid of those email notifications
We’re not going to tell you to take your work email off your phone, but we do recommend that you at least turn the notifications off. It’s fine to work from your mobile device, but it’s not healthy to get email notifications from your boss when you’re trying to enjoy dinner. Keep the email account. Lose the notifications.
