Got any big travel plans on the horizon, residents? We do everything we can to keep you comfortable in our Owasso apartments, but we understand that everyone needs to travel every once in a while. Fall is a great time to do it, too, because the tourist crowds usually disappear after Labor Day. If you’re catching the travel bug and you’re trying to decide where to go, we think you’ll enjoy this week’s blog.
In the post below, we’ll be talking about some of our favorite picks for travel destinations this fall. All these places are located within the U.S., so you should be able to get there with one flight and a rental car. Whether you’re going to do a long trip for Thanksgiving or you’re going to do a quick three-day getaway, we think you’ll have a blast at the destinations below.
Without further delay, let’s get right to the post! When you’re done reading through it, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at 98 Apartments Owasso.
The first city on our list is also the smallest. Don’t let the college town-sized population fool you though; there’s plenty to do in Asheville. The city is teeming with bars, restaurants, breweries, brewpubs, brunch spots, and everything in between. The city is old, and it’s got plenty of meandering alleys and walkways that provide views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
If you decide to rent a car, you can explore the mansion-filled neighborhoods in the hills just outside Asheville. Keep driving past those neighborhoods, and you’ll find even more mountainous land for hiking, mountain biking, or simply relaxing. Oh, and did we mention the beautiful fall colors?
Traveling to the West Coast in the fall is one of the best moves you can make. Everybody wants to vacation out there, but people usually do it during the summer months, and the fall is much quieter out there. Big Sur is an especially appealing destination because of the whale watching. You can see orcas, blue whales, and humpback whales out in the Pacific. Nature lovers will also love the fact that thousands of butterflies migrate back to this area in the fall.
If you’re a fan of seaside towns, you’ll find plenty in this area. Grab lunch at a cliffside cafe and enjoy the views!
Austin is way too hot to visit in the summer, but the fall changes the city for the better. The festivals that the city is famous for started happening in the fall, including the massive music festival, Austin City Limits. Our favorite thing about Austin is that you can do an affordable vacation there or an extravagant one — it’s up to you!
