How do you destress after work once you get home to your apartments in Owasso? Whether you go to the gym, start cooking or take the dog for a walk, you probably do something that helps you forget about the long day at work and shift your focus to the relaxing evening ahead of you. That gets a lot harder to do, however, if your apartment is messy.
It’s hard to destress after work if you open your door to a cluttered apartment. With that in mind, we’ve decided to write a blog post about ways to keep an apartment organized. If you’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed by the prospects of cleaning and tidying your place, you might want to check out this week’s post.
Without further delay, let’s dive right into this week’s blog! Oh, and when you’re done reading through it, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at 98 Apartments Owasso.
Baskets, baskets and more baskets
The number one reason apartments get messy is because people don’t have designed places for their things. You can solve that problem quickly by investing in baskets. Got too many blankets in your living room? Throw them in a basket. Wishing you had a place for your wallet, keys and sunglasses? Put a basket by the door. Need a catch-all for the knick-knacks that always end up on your dining room table? Make a basket your centerpiece. It sounds simple, but it really works!
Make your furniture work for you
Next time you find yourself in the market for a new couch or coffee table, look for pieces that have built-in storage. In fact, you should look for built-in storage with every piece of furniture that you buy. The more extra storage you can get, the less clutter you’ll have floating around your apartment.
Go with clear storage containers
A lot of people use opaque Rubbermaid bins to store their winter clothes, their extra linens and various seasonal items. The problem with opaque storage containers is that you have to open them to find whatever you’re looking for. If you invest in clear storage containers, however, you’ll be able to quickly see where everything is instead of having to sift through multiple containers. Next time you’re in the market for some new storage containers, get the clear kind and enjoy a simpler storage experience!
