We want to do whatever we can to help you sleep better every night, which is why we thought we’d share some sleep tips in this week’s blog post!
Below, you’ll find a list of some tried and true sleep tips that experts suggest for people who are having trouble sleeping. Whether you’re having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, we think that the tips in this week’s blog will help you find a little more success in the sleep department.
Without further delay, let’s jump right into this week’s blog post! Oh, and when you're done reading through this week’s blog, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at 98 Apartments Owasso.
Get more sunlight during the day.
One of the main ways your body knows when to fall asleep is by following its circadian rhythm. This rhythm is tied to the sun. When it’s up, your body stays awake. When it goes down, your body starts to get tired. This rhythm can be thrown off, however, if you’re not getting enough sunlight during the day. Try going for walks around lunchtime or after work to increase the amount of sunlight your body receives. If you do it right, you should notice that you’re able to fall asleep more quickly at night!
Reduce noise and light in your bedroom.
Even the little lights and noises can make a difference when you’re trying to fall asleep or stay asleep. Hang more things on your wall to help soundproof your bedroom. Put a towel or blanket near the door to reduce the amount of light that gets in from the crack underneath the door. Cover up the little lights that come from your electronics. All these little things will add up, and you might start sleeping better!
Take a cold shower
Sometimes, all you need if a buffer between your bed and the rest of your evening. A shower can be exactly what. It’s a way to clear your mind before you crawl into bed. A cold shower also lowers your body temperature, which will help you fall asleep faster since your body has to cool down before you can fall asleep anyway.
