The staff at your apartments for rent in Owasso has just one question for our residents: How did you sleep last night? People get that question a lot, and unless you’re on vacation, it seems rare that we’re able to answer with anything better than, “eh.” Sleep - or lack of it - is a serious issue in today’s society. Luckily, we think we have a few tips that can help you solve the sleep issue.
Losing out on sleep makes you tired, but few people think about the effects that being tired can have on your body and mind. Being tired doesn’t just mean you feel a little slow. It means you’re not performing as well as you could at work. It means you’re not making entirely rational decisions. It means you might not make healthy eating choices, and you’ll be less likely to work out. In summary, being tired is bad for in in basically every way.
We’d like to help our residents avoid being tired, which is why we’ve come up with a list of tips you can use to get better sleep. Remember; it’s not just about how much sleep you’re getting. It’s also about the quality of your sleep. Without further delay, let’s dive into the post below! When you’re done reading it, please be sure to share the link to this post with your friends and neighbors at 98 — the apartments Owasso residents choose for upscale living.
Workout earlier in the day
One thing that can have a negative effect on your sleep schedule is working out in the hour or two before you plan on going to bed. Your body has to cool down before bed, and working out heats your body up. It’s okay to work out at night — working out in the morning is an extremely difficult habit to develop — but before sure to get your workout in well before you plan on going to bed.
Take a cold shower before bed
As we said in the previous post, your body begins lowering your internal temperature as you get ready for bed. If you want to speed up that process, you can take a cold shower before you plan on falling asleep. Some people find a hot shower relaxing, but you don’t want to heat up your internal temperature too much before you plan on falling asleep.
This one might sound obvious, but there’s more light in your room than you might think. You know all those little electronics that you have, with their little blinking red, blue and green lights? Yeah, those can cause major sleep problems. It happens subconsciously, but any time your body sense light in the room around you, it equates that light with the sun, and the morning, and waking up. You might stay asleep all night, but you won’t be getting the best sleep if you have a lot of little lights in your room.
Those are all the sleep tips we’ve got for you this week, residents!
