Whether you’re trying to keep the holiday weight off or you’re just trying to continue to make progress on your fitness goals for 2018, the tips on this list should help you live your healthiest live throughout the rest of the year.
Without further delay, let’s get right to the list of fitness tips! Oh, and when you’re done reading through this week’s blog, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments in Owasso!
Tip #1: Plan Ahead
The more you can plan out your meals, the more healthy decisions you’ll be able to make. Spend your Sunday evenings cooking big batches of rice, quinoa, veggies and protein. Try to remember to bring your lunches to work every day so you’re not tempted to get fast food. Put your gym clothes in your car before work so you can go to the gym right away after you leave the office. The more you plan out your weeks in advance, the more you’ll be able to stick to your fitness plan.
Tip #2: Work out before you go to work
We know it’s hard to work out early in the morning. We also know that it’s hard to say no to happy hour. If you want to stay fit during the holiday season, you’re going to have to get proactive about it. Get a jug of cold brew coffee and have it waiting in your fridge right when you wake up. That alone should be enough to get you out of bed and into the gym. You’ll have more energy all day after working out in the morning.
Tip #3: Don't think of workouts as “all or nothing”
Just because you don’t have time for an hour long workout doesn’t mean you have to skip the workout altogether. Try to get rid of the “all or nothing mentality” by going for short runs, doing ab circuits in your home or getting a few pushups in when you have time. All that matters is that you get that heart rate up!
